For example, one day she invited me over to her house and proceeded to tell me how much she disliked each of my kids. When she finished blasting my family, I shut my mouth that had dropped open in disbelief and hurried to my car. It was like that over and over throughout the years.
LIVING AS A DISCIPLE: PART III: LUKE 11:5-13
When she would come to my mind, I would try to capture that thought and release it to God, or I would stew in resentment. I prayed for her, whether I felt like it or not; and whenever we pray for our enemies, she always came to mind, that is until one day recently, I saw that my heart was changed. Last weekend I caught a glimpse of her sitting alone in the pew at Mass and an amazing thought came over me. God was showing me that my life was a journey and that He had honored my simple human choices to try to love and lead me to deeper communion and relationship with Him. When we grow in contemplative connection with God, we grow in holiness ourselves and become captivating evangelists of others, for they experience the love of Jesus through us.
We need good models, holy witnesses for this, and to see that, when we actively cultivate the spiritual life of prayer, it is not only for our own growth in holiness. To bring our lives of faith to completion while we more fully realize our humanity in the process, as disciples, we have to understand how to encounter the living and utterly transcendent God.
Jesus, My Jesus…How marvelous your ways…Far more splendid than my mind can envision. What an honor to be chosen by you.
A lowly child I am, but empowered by the Holy Spirit to fulfill the great hope to which you have called me. I give myself totally to you, Lord. Take my imperfect heart and make it perfect. The storyline is continued and the romance is just as curt and sweet as before only there was much more than I expected based on the beginning. This actually ended more abruptly than I expected it to, which is okay considering I have the third book to pick up im This was a good follow-up of the first book.
This actually ended more abruptly than I expected it to, which is okay considering I have the third book to pick up immediately, thanks to the author requesting I review all three.
Though there was less action the tension was just as great. It was a great way to keep the momentum going and not lose any interest in the story itself. I was emotionally involved with the characters and a lot closer to them than before.

The horn things are still a bit confusing, but I've got a better grip on what they are and their purpose. To add to this, I did receive this book in exchange for an honest review. Jul 14, Maridebarr rated it really liked it. This is my review from Amazon: In the first part of this saga, personal interactions were secondary to the physical dangers that nature was providing.
DISCIPLESHIP IN THE NEW AGE - VOLUME I
Now the dangers are all personal. National politics, bureaucratic rivalries, prejudice, impending war, family interactions, all are simmering in one big pot. Winter fools indeed. It also sets the stage for all sorts of possible future problems. May 09, Chris Ingram rated it really liked it Shelves: sf. Solid continuation of the first book. Also a good setup for some potentially wrenching personal dynamics in the future!

Disciple Making Disciples Part II - Vineyard Christian Church of Crystal Lake
I am committed to writing that, since I received four pledgers at that level. The current plan is to finish that by November, -- before I finish publishing the entire Disciple series. The worst thing I see happening in production of Part II is my editor pointing out some major flaw in the story that needs extensive re-writing. That could cause a delay while I do the writing, double-check it, and polish the new version.
That would be a challenge, but I know I have the discipline to meet it. My Twitter stream documents my dedication to writing, and I've overcome discouraging problems in Disciple already -- just in getting to the end of the six parts. If my computer should spontaneously combust, I have off-site backups of everything. If I should be hit by a bus tomorrow, the first draft of Part VI the end of the story has already been finished.
Part I was challenging in that it was my first time self-publishing a novel.
