Kayaks are available for hire, and seemed only to be used by the naturists in July Lovely sandy beach, clear sea, attractive location with the mountains in the background - thoroughly recommended. May be overlooked by local farmers in fields behind and also a few walkers. It can get very hot so bring own shade.

In the second half of September this beach was still very good. The concrete construction in the middle of the beach and that can be seen on the photo right , seemed to be the remains of a garden, maybe a former small beach bar. It looked deserted, although there was a working shower on the beach in front of it. Even the textile part of the beach lacked this luxury!

Never too many people on the beach, not even at the weekends. Some walkers passing by, but not disturbing nor disturbed by the nude sunlovers. Highly recommended. The place was very quiet. Some textiles walking on the beach, but they did not bother us. Some of them tried nudism not habitual nudists considering they were not tanned beneath their costumes. An important thing: it's a site for the Caretta caretta 's nest, so pay attention when putting the umbrella into the sand.

May: A wet start to the month meant that much of the snaking path down from the cliff top car park was waterlogged. When the forecast is for a sunny day, Kanali is popular, even with a few textiles. We walked to Kanali from Lourdas beach, although we still prefer the walk down from the park at the top. June: We went twice there, a Saturday and at another day. Saturday the beach was entirely textile, with families. The other day we met there a couple consisting by a nude man and topless woman plus one single topless woman.

Lourdas beach is definitely better, so we left. May: We visited the beach on two days. The first occasion we had it to ourselves. Two days later, we shared it with one other couple. In the afternoon a local man came to swim and walk his dog, but otherwise we were undisturbed. The beach is pretty clean, there are a couple of litter bins, and the locals make an effort to ensure the footpath down is accessible.

June: I was a bit surprised when you said walk down the slope 10 minutes and occasional muddy!? Park the car at the top and walk down the path, yes it was muddy as there is fresh water coming down between the fields and sometimes there was water on footpath, nothing too bad. When you get down the concrete stairs to the beach, you have to walk to the left and pass the rock outcrop, that's where the naturist beach is.

Don't stay by the stairs as we did and 20 minutes later 5 groups of textile families came down with kids. We figured out that we are minority and moved to the left end, behind the rock there were people there, up to 20 people in total, it was quite busy we thought. It's a nice beach; you can talk to people as you're very close to each other.

July: The beach is perfect only nudist people. The beach is the second after a group of rocks coming from Lourdata the right hand , the best and easy way. September the end of : A short walk from Lourdas along the foreshore. It is also accessible from a road goat track , footpath and steps inland from the beach. This route is short but in places is steep. It can also be reached by walking from Trapezaki beach along the foreshore. Again not too difficult a route although the rocks are a little trickier to negotiate.

Kanali is a lovely secluded sand and white pebble beach. As might be expected, the beach has no facilities. Beyond the waterline the sea bed shelves gradually and is mostly soft sand. It is good for swimming and entering the water is easy. Wet shoes are not necessary, but as there are a few patches of pebbles, may be preferred or simply look for an entry point that is all sand.

There seems to be three sections of beach separated by rocks but it is unclear if the rightmost section is Kanali or Trapezaki. When we visited naturists were present on all three sections with the centre section being more popular and almost entirely naturist. See Trapezaki on Google maps. Trapezaki is joined to Lourdas beach to the east and the beaches have a combined length of about 2. There are sunbeds on the easterly mile and a bit and on the western mile Trapezaki itself and both these areas were entirely textile. Naturist bathing is possible on the middle section Kanali - an earlier correspondent described it as "heaven, all nude, good sand, clean water, gorgeous".

I'm grateful to Terry see Terry Naturist Diary for the story that follows and for the picture of Trapezaki beach. Terry and his companion visited in July and walked the entire length of the beach between Trapezaki and Lourdas. Except for a metre section rather nearer to the latter than the former, it was entirely covered by sunbeds and umbrellas. By the end of the week even that virgin section had been filled in!! But it's not all bad news. Beginning at the Trapezaki end of the beach and walking towards Lourdas it soon became apparent that the odd nude couple were interspersed between the others along the whole length of the beach except for the parts nearer the tavernas at each extremity.

Not only that, the man collecting the money for the umbrellas was as happy to take money from nudists as textiles. As he appears to be the only authority on the beach it is safe to assume that nudity is not a problem. What was quite clear was that when going to the beach only the occasional couple were naked but on leaving they always seemed to have been joined by others!! The beach although well used was never really busy with plenty of room and those sun umbrellas were spaced about 10 yards apart.

My contributors used a 'bay' about halfway along the beach and on the first day were the only nudists there, by the end of the week we were up to half a dozen or so. As they were all leaving on the same weekend my contributor hoped that someone else maintains the tradition. The Captain does too. The beach is of relatively clean sand although we did have a small amount of oil tar pollution coming ashore on one afternoon. The sea also appeared clean and clear with frequent dips a necessity for cooling the skin at short and regular intervals.

Contributors who visited in July parked at Trapezaki and set off east along the beach and settled in the third bay which was deserted but for one other naturist couple. As the first beach has stones that are tiring to walk over, it is better to take a path behind the taverna which leads down to the 2nd bay. At the end of that bay it is necessary to walk over rocks to reach the 3rd bay of gritty sand with rocks in the sea. They spent a quiet afternoon here and were fascinated to see a turtle swimming in the sea. At the end of the afternoon, a local shepherd drove his sheep from the hill behind them onto the beach and right past them.

He seemed quite unperturbed by their lack of attire and gave them a friendly greeting. There were further bays beyond on the way to Lourdas; it would also be possible to approach from that direction too. There were folded beach umbrellas on our beach with no sign of usage but an indication that at the height of the season, this beach might become textile.

About half way along the village road at the top of the cliff there is a signpost for the "Lithero" taverna. There is a very steep track down to the taverna we never risked driving down though others did. At the taverna walk west towards Trapezaki. The beach is coarse sand or very small pebbles. There is a steep shelf to begin with in the water but it quickly becomes shallow again. A correspondent also adds that when they were there, in June, they found it "uncrowded; usually around a dozen or so couples, mainly the older generation.

In fact they found it pleasant to see that some young couples, after their all-too-apparent amazement at the scene, actually stripped off and joined the club. Barefooters who visited in July enjoyed a couple of happy naked days on Trapezaki beach too. As others have said, you need to get yourself about halfway between the beach at Trapezaki, parking by the small fishing boats, and the Lourdas beaches.

They felt that this beach did not provide the same sense of freedom found at Mounda. No problems at all going nude, either from the locals or non-nude bathers. There were nudists along the beach for approx the next 1km. September: Either side of the harbour at Trapezaki are two small beaches. The beach to the right west of the harbour is a little under m long. See on Google Street View. The beach left east of the harbour is about 85m long and has a few sunbeds at the harbour end. The whole of this beach is overlooked from the harbour walls and from a taverna on top of the low cliffs behind the beach.

It is not clear if this beach is named or whether it part of either Kanali Or Trapezaki. We stopped for an hour or two midway along this beach and enjoyed a little skinny dipping. A popular addition to Kefalonia is the Vassaliki Naturist Resort. The room resort offers a high quality of accommodation and service to the discerning naturist.

It boasts a beautiful pool, hot tub and comfortable sun chairs over looking the beautiful bay. The pool bar offers a full range of hot and cold drinks as well a comprehensive range of snacks and meals. The resort has over the years become a popular holiday destination for the naturist, with many guests returning year after year. Day visits are available on request.

Barefoot reporters had this to say about Vassaliki Naturist Club in Klismata about 15 minutes drive from Avithos beach. It's a wonderful place for a relaxing naturist holiday. There are 12 air-conditioned self-catering apartments, luxurious by general Greek accommodation standards, most with garden, mountain or sea views. Nearest textile beach is half a mile downhill, and nearest naturist beach Paleolinos. There is a pool, gardens, ample sunbeds, shady gazebos for sitting, a pool bar serving breakfast and lunch, and a dining area. Shops are 4 minutes away by car mini markets and 10 minutes to 4 supermarkets, AB being the best, and near a petrol station.

A car is essential; the roads are dreadful but you get used to them in a week. Mark and Samantha, the English hosts at Vassiliki, are welcoming but not intrusive; you can join in or be as independent as you like. They do weekly barbecue evenings onsite and meze evenings at local tavernas, and boat trips to remote beaches unreachable any other way, which are naturist once the harbour is left behind.

They also have a masseuse who visits weekly, and an order service for take-away taverna meals. Nudity is acceptable anywhere on the site and expected dawn to dusk, and during the evenings weather permitting; certainly in summer people only dressed to go out of the site! There were mostly couples staying; we have a year-old and she was never bored even though she was the only child on site for the 2 weeks. We've already booked 2 weeks next summer. Highly recommended for discerning naturists who want to relax, chill, explore the locality, and enjoy!

May: We stayed at Vassaliki for a week. Not the cheapest option on the island, but the quality justifies the price. The property is hugely attractive and impeccably maintained, the hosts are friendly, kind and accommodating, there is a wide range of optional activities, and there is just an overwhelmingly happy vibe to the place. The on-site catering is excellent. The cocktails are imaginative.

Vassaliki is well placed for the airport, Argostoli and Avithos… if you have a car. Many of the local restaurants offer free wine or deserts unprompted if you plonk your room key on the table. August: We took a look at some of the rooms, which were modern, clean and spacious and had nice views from the balconies.

The pool and bar area looked just great, the atmosphere was relaxed and the hosts were very friendly and prepared very tasty food too. The location is a bit remote, so we would recommend to hire a car if you stay here to get the most out of your stay on Kefalonia. In our opinion this is a really nice naturist resort. Previously entries in this guide included muddled information for beaches at Paliolinos and Avithos. Barefoot correspondents visited this area in May and, based on local signposts, have re-written this section, separating out the two, very different beaches.

It is possible to get between Paliolinos and Avithos beaches along the foreshore but the climb over the rocks is arduous. In the section on Avithos left side see below it is reported that this is as a result of a rock fall in winter Recent satellite imagery on Google Maps suggests that as much as m of cliff or more may have collapsed onto the beach. However, without earlier satellite imagery for comparison this is just speculation and it is also unclear if this happened in a single event or whether it occurred over a much longer period of time.

What seems certain is that there has been significant topographical changes as a result of which Paliolinos beach was probably shortened at the western end. If this is correct it may explain why there is now some confusion over the start and finish point of each beach. All a bit unclear really so if anyone has more detailed local knowledge please amend. The main, central beach at Paliolinos is small and the area behind the beach is given over to a limited amount of car parking, canopies and picnic tables.

Aside from these structures there are no facilities other than a shower. The foreshore at Paliolinos is very rocky with ugly concrete structures surrounding the main beach. In all beaches are now pebbles, some quite large and uncomfortable to walk and sit on however there are a few tiny patches of gritty sand.

The pebbles extend out beyond the waterline. It shelves gently and just a little further out some of the seabed is nice soft sand. The large pebbles make entering the water difficult so beach shoes are advisable. May: Normally a textile beach but we scrambled over the rocks to the left east to a secluded spot and had a small bit of beach to ourselves. When we visited there were some waves but, being mostly pebbles, there is little sand to get churned up hence, unlike neighbouring Avithos, the water was crystal clear.

Paliolinos used to be sandy see October report and there is now a lot of seaweed on the main beach! Textile or naturist this isn't a great beach and Avithos is nearby and much better! The loss of sand might possibly be due to unusual tidal and weather conditions over the winter and hopefully is just temporary. It may be possible to reach Avithos by climbing over the rocky foreshore but it is difficult… We went part way but decided to turn back. October: Waded round from neighbouring Avithos beach to have a look and take a photo.

August: When we arrived at the beach we were disappointed because it was full of Greek families and not even one naturist in sight. Coming from the car-park, we then decided to climb over some rocks which were on our left side the rocks were easy to climb over, even with flipflops. This was a good decision. There were some small beaches here between the rocks, which we often had all to ourselves, but sometimes we had to share them with other naturists which was fine by us. Apparently this has been an accepted naturist beach for some years. From Avithos walk to the LEFT as you face the sea and walk along the sand for minutes, past the sunbeds, and around a small outcrop of rocks.

Between this and the next big rocky outcrop is a small but lovely sandy beach. There are big rocks both on the sand and in the sea, though mostly it's a sandy bottom, quite gently shelving and great for swimming. The big boulders provide morning shade. You are not visible from the main Avithos beach nor from Paliolinos beach which is on the other side of the jumbled rocks at the far end. You used to be able to scramble over from Paliolinos beach textile to here but a rock fall in the winter of has made this very difficult. Difficult to park your car! Walk about metres along the coast to the rock complex.

After the first rock begins the nudist beach. The place is incredible, the sea warm and clean but impossible to swim if you don't walk around 40m the beach shelves slowly. About heterosexual couples all naked, also all women, plus single men and 2 single women. The beach is sandy but there are rocks that are slippery be careful. On the beach you will find an incredible feeling and very sexy. I noticed that a sweet woman from Asia smiled when she was watching my genitals. Also a very pretty blonde woman focused my genitals for an improper long time and after that she said "hello" to me and my wife!

Later when I walked in front of her joined by her husband she opened her legs showing to me her fully shaved pussy. At the same beach another woman playing her husband's cock until he was ejaculate. So do not be surprised like a contributor from ! May: Still one of the best naturist friendly beaches in Kefalonia. We went to the furthest end. Pity the lovely bar on the main beach was not open when we were there this time. Work is well in hand to get it ready so we expect it will be open soon. To Entkko Taverna just behind it was open… Great coffee although the food is nothing special!

It was surprisingly busy for early October probably not only because of the beautiful soft golden sand and excellent swimming but also because of the nice bar right on the beach. The secluded beach past the rocks to the left of the main beach was empty when we arrived. Access to this beach is easy and there is a reasonable amount of parking space at the taverna on the main beach. On our second visit to the beach, we arrived in the morning and had coffee at the bar on the main beach … lovely atmosphere and relaxing chillout music on a glorious sunny day. We moved on to the left hand east end of the beach past the rocks.

A few more naturists and textiles came and went throughout the day … completely perfect. June: the Avithos beach is amazing and naturist-friendly beach, we visited today and at 11am there was another couple. After us several single men came and hung around about but we did not mind. Textile couple in twenties came and stayed close by, the miss took the top off but her mister was too shy.

Later another handful of naturists came, looked like German couple with Greek friend. Not long after they become very excited and enjoyed the beach as if they were there alone. We are not judgmental and did not bother us that much. During the day a few textiles walked past but not paid too much attention. The beach is clean and beautiful. Will go again while here.

We returned to this beach few days later as it was the best. You can also drive to the Paleolinos car park and walk through some rocks to the right, it's closer than from Avithos side. Once again beautiful beach and people there, up to 10 in total. August : the beach was very much narrowed by wave action. To reach this beach we had to turn around some big rocks in the water not so easy due to rough sea. We found a very nice naturist couple and we shared the beach with them.

When they left some single men arrived 3 during the day : they stripped off but seemed voyeurs to us as they kept staring at us and then left after realizing we were only interested in naked relaxing. A textile couple arrived with a boat and swam to the beach: they took a look at the beach and then left after a few minutes.

August : In the morning we sometimes had it to ourselves, with several couples and 2 or 3 singles arriving towards the middle of the day; reports are that it was never crowded even in the afternoons - and this was August! All naturist, and a mix of Greeks, Dutch, Italian and English people. Textiles do walk along from Avithos but generally turn back when they find themselves among naturists! One couple settled down near us and tried naturism, we suspect for the first time, obviously enjoying the experience.

This is the closest naturist beach to Vassaliki Naturist Club who offer a minibus service to this beach for their guests. This is a lovely sandy, gently shelving beach, backed by cliffs about 30 minutes gentle walk from top end of Svoronata. There is parking at the end of the concrete road that leads to the beach where there are also 2 tavernas.

Going down a slope on to the beach, there is a beach bar and sunbeds. Walk to the right, past a rocky point, through the second beach and the naturist beach is beach number three beyond the large [white] rock. Another account says that if you turn left when facing the water, this is Paliolinos as listed above, after the first rocks separating the nudist section from the main beach you come across a disappointing stretch rather rocky both in the water and on the beach.

If one walks further along there is a sandy part but you need to be aware of the sharp rocks in the water in this sandy cove. One contributor preferred the end of the bay to the right because he felt happier swimming there. Another June describes this as a very gentle shelving beach into the sea with not many rocks. We were here for our last day and saw no other people until late on when a couple of single males walked past and on to the next bay and three females sunbathed naked at the other end of the beach near to the first set of rocks.

In our opinion the best we found, clean, secluded and warm. A report from June says there was only one taverna open, but the beach is wonderful. It appears nudism is allowed at both ends of this beach but my reporters found the best to be to the right. Once you have parked at the tavernas, turn right and scramble over some rocks for 30m; there is another beach about m long with only a couple of people on it. Walk along this beach past an outcrop of rocks and you come to another m of glorious beach. During 10 visits over 2 weeks most people were nude, and on the busiest day there were only 12 people.

An alternative approach to this beach is to turn right at the hand painted sign that says Avithos Beach about mts past the Go Kart track. After about 30mts go left and after another 30mts down a steep hill you will see a small area on the left where you can park. Go down the hill and on reaching the beach turn left and you will see the outcrop of rock previously described. To drive there follow the road from Argostoli towards Skala. Drive through Svoronata and where the road bends sharp left go straight on.

Follow this road for approximately 2 miles past the Go-Kart track and down to the beach. Get there early for a car-park space. On reaching the beach, turn left and walk past the sunbeds to the rocky headland at the end of the beach. As on our previous visit, there were several naturist couples here, and it is a lovely setting. A good sandy beach, with clear water. Avoid going round the rocky headland: this is a rocky, uncomfortable beach with nowhere comfortable to sit or lie.

My contributors also tried the recommended beach to the right, and were very disappointed. With reference to the advice given to turn right at the hand-painted sign for Avithos, there is now an estate of new, expensive houses at the top of the beach track with nowhere to park.

The track is not passable on foot or by car, as a stream has been diverted into it, making many yards of the track very deep in mud. One 4x4 managed it, but little else. And really, the beach is not worth it: scrambling round the rocks from Avithos brings you to a good beach, but all textiles here; the beach around the next lot of rocks we found to be narrow and dirty, with a number of single nude men prowling around.

We felt very uncomfortable and vulnerable - the only time in two weeks in Kefalonia, July , and did not stay long. However, Avithos itself is lovely, and the left hand end is thoroughly recommended. My contributors visited several times, and loved it. And this was on a Sunday. Soft clean sand and lovely warm, clear water. October We went past the rocks to the right of the main beach.

Yet another group of rocks separates a final small section of beach. This last section was empty and may be suitable for naturism but being overlooked by villas, discretion would be advisable. Access to this beach is easy and there is a reasonable amount of parking space at the main beach. We managed to park fairly close but in busier months a bit of a walk might be expected.

Sept: visited every day for a week. Max of 5 couples lovely swimming and no textiles walking along to have a look. Less wasps at this end tried the left side; lots of wasps only lasted an hour then moved. Aug: The track is now tarmac and easier to drive but be careful it is still very steep so some small-engined hire cars will struggle. We went there every day for a week and not once were there more than a dozen people on the whole stretch of about m.

The sea was absolutely perfect for swimming. Take plenty of water with you but to walk back to the tavernas for lunch is no hardship.

An Focal XX 6 by An Focal ULSU - Issuu

We walked for a few minutes and arrived in a deserted part where we were alone still visible from the crowded textile section of the beach and stripped off. We enjoyed nude sunbathing and swimming with no problem. While we were leaving, a couple arrived and stripped off they seemed textiles trying naturism, considering they were not tanned beneath their costumes. Barefooters who were there in June turned left and walked to the end of beach round the rocks and found a nice bit of sandy beach Paleolinos where most people were nude or with nude partners.

My reporters thought Avithos the best beach they encountered on Kefalonia, but they took some time to decide where to go. They first walked east from the main beach i. The next beach was empty and not appealing as it appeared messy, with quite a build-up of seaweed. The beach beyond was better and populated by just one nude male but later there were 5 nudes among 12 on the beach. Sandy, spacious, good swimming. Plenty of bars and restaurants on the main beach, but no facilities in this bay - part of the appeal of it.

A July report says that nude sunbathing continued on Avithos beach on the day they visited, with about 5 other couples in evidence on that occasion. Beach located at the end of the airport runway. Very quiet in September. A few rocks at first but then fine sand and gently shelving. A few naturist couples but sometimes only my reporters. The locals tend to stay at the first part of the beach. The area is in the south of the Paliki peninsula the one with Lixouri on it in the district of Mantzavinata. Based on that, this section of the guide has been reorganized and renamed formerly Xi beach — Mania putting the previously muddled beach descriptions into clockwise east to west order, adding beach names where known and updating information.

All the beaches are geologically similar insofar as they share the same dramatically contrasting orange sand and light grey clay cliffs. However, facilities, quality of the beach, height of cliffs, accessibility and most importantly, suitability for naturism varies. Some doubt remains to exactly where some beaches start and finish so please amend if known to be incorrect. In places they have many cracks and large fissures. Rockfalls are common! Caution is urged particularly after heavy rainfall and when near the higher, more vertical cliffs.

Xi beach is NOT a naturist beach, it is a very busy tourist beach but, to the west, within walking distance or a short drive, there are several other beaches where it is possible to go naturist. The first time my contributors visited they drove north from Argostoli round the coast, about an hour; the 2nd time they took the car on the ferry crossing 25 minutes to the peninsula from Argostoli to Lixouri, runs hourly, and then it was only a 10 minutes drive to Xi.

The hotel is right on the beach and there is a collection of loungers, sea scooter hire centre, taverna, etc, and hundreds of people. Going east along the orange sand they got that detail right the crowds thin out but you can see the next sun lounger, boat hire, taverna, etc with a steady procession of people walking up and down the foreshore. The beach is backed by low grey clay cliffs and is, basically, a popular featureless long stretch of sand.

It shelves gently with slippery flat rock offshore and limited snorkelling possibilities. It is a beach for families who like socialising on the sand. It is no place for idyllic or secluded nude sunbathing and swimming. Going nude is possible but hardly enjoyable. June : Xi Beach was very much narrowed and shortened in length by wave action. We saw a few topless ladies but no nudism whatsoever.

Married on the nude beach! - 2/5 - Come Curious

June: No change - on the main beach sunbeds and umbrellas, no nudity even in far end. July: A couple who visited found it quite relaxed in a clothing-optional area of the beach. Take the right hand fork signed to Xi so is the left! Walk to the right past the sunloungers, after a few hundred yards there is an area below tall cliffs; these are unstable, and there are many recent rockfalls, so walk past here to the area where the cliffs are lower. This is a pleasant stretch of sand, where there were three naturist groups.

About mid-afternoon, the naturists were joined by about half a dozen textiles, none of whom showed any sign of objection. There are a few pebbles at the edge of the sea, which is very shallow for quite a long way out. Very pleasant: if you rub the red sand all over your body, it is supposed to make you 20 years younger! October One contributor who visited said they "felt a bit like a tourist attraction for textiles when we stripped off" on the east end of Xi.

There is an unpaved road that leads to the beach. They were the only human beings there and nude bathing and walking was ideal. The sand is orange, the water very clear. It seems unlikely that the beach is very crowded in high season, because from the busy resort of Xi it's accessible only by that narrow path over the little hill. Absolutely no signs of sunloungers, parasols, taverna or anything like that. Although textiles do use this beach, from reports over many years it seems naturism is well establised and accepted.

The beach has dark orange sand, is very gently shelving, with a calm, warm sea and very safe good for those who are not strong swimmers. When we visited, we walked to the western end turn right on the beach. On my contributors' first time there, they were able to strip off at the end of the beach, backed by the cliff. However the beach was quite quiet as it was a windy day but to their delight we found that we were out of the wind here and the sea was calm. My correspondents were told by their local waiter that this is one beach which is always OK even on windy days. On our return the next week, they would not have felt comfortable on the main beach as there were more people so they walked on, round the next small bay which collects seaweed and then paddled round the rocky point only about a foot deep to the next bay - Probably Mania beach see below!

Initially they had this bay to themselves, but they were later joined by a naturist man and his costumed partner.

A local fisherman walked past to his boat and took no notice of them. They felt very relaxed there. October: Koutala remains excellent for naturism. It can also be reached from Mania beach. We parked at Mania See on Google maps but there was so much seaweed on the beach there that we decided to explore elsewhere. We clambered over the rocks to the left east and found another 0. There was less seaweed in this cove so we stopped for a quick skinny dip. We decided to see what was beyond the next outcrop. A good decision, again the same sand but hardly any seaweed.

There was a small fishing boat anchored about 50m from the shore but the fisherman paid us no heed. The dry clay from the cliff can be mixed with water and painted onto the body. It is said to have beneficial properties though I found claims that it will make you look 20 years younger to be exaggerated. I tried painting one arm only and it still looks the same as the other. Perhaps I should have left it on longer We are unsure if the cove we crossed is part of Mania or Koutala but suspect it is probably the former as the second outcrop does seem to be a more distinct separator please amend if you know otherwise.

July: A couple following the same directions again paddling around the foot of the cliffs in 30cms of water found the beach to be private and eventually textile-free - when the one clothed couple stripped off and joined the rest of the beach. The only reported downside is that the sea is too shallow, you have to go a long way out for a swim!

July: On two visits my contributors had the beach to themselves apart from one or two textiles. You arrive at a small parking area on the cliff above the beach. Walk to the left to go closer to the point that divides Koutala and Mania, this end is naturist. Be aware there are often rock-falls from the cliff behind so be careful. About 1. Take the right, park at the end of the road and walk right when facing the sea along the narrow beach towards the rocks. The first rock is easily walked round as it is shallow sea with sandy floor. Walking around the second rock is a bit tricky as again it is shallow water but part of it is rocky rather huge pebbles.

You are rewarded with a beautiful sandy beach - best part half way across. October: We visited Mania beach late afternoon at the beginning of October Access to the beach is easy by a paved road that ends at a small parking area immediately in front of the beach. Being in a slightly more remote and less developed part of the island, we found it completely empty so it was no problem being naked.

Unfortunately, when we visited, there was a lot of seaweed on the beach so we decided to explore what lay beyond Mania in each direction. To the right west you eventually reach a small rocky outcrop which is easy to walk around… well perhaps paddle if you mistime the waves! Beyond the rocks is Kounopetra beach. To the left east is a rocky outcrop, not too difficult to scramble over, beyond which is Koutala beach.

The western end of Kounopetra beach is easily reached by a paved road leading to a parking area at the taverna on the sea front. Walk left east along the beach and even in high season, with discretion it may be possible to get naked. The cliffs are higher and more vertical at the eastern end so do heed the warnings about rockfalls. If you continue east passing a small rocky outcrop you will come to Mania beach. October: At the beginning of the month we walked to Kounopetra beach from Mania beach. It was deserted and the taverna and villas all appeared closed so being naked would probably not have been a problem anywhere on Kounopetra beach.

However there was a lot of seaweed so we headed back east past Mania and beyond. The stairs have now completely been destroyed so it is no longer possible to access this beach except by boat. There are many stairs to the beach. Barefoot reporters who were there in August found this the most naturist beach on the island. The beach was long enough to walk a discreet distance from the textiles, who tend to collect in the first half of the beach.

It was, like many island beaches, busy with Greek families on Sundays, but during the week much fewer people, mostly naked. In June on one day there were only 7 people on the whole beach. One Greek family wore clothes, the other people were nude. And a lot of beach for each of them. In June during the week nude bathing was no problem, but we have been bothered by a voyeuristic single greek male.

June : Platia Ammos had 3 nude ladies, a nude lady as part of 2 couples where I believe the other 3 had just dressed and us. A textile couple turned up later where the man had a great interest in the beach pebbles near the 2 nude ladies and us but, strangely enough, nowhere else on the beach. The beach is also very hard to walk on as it is all pebbles. This is however the best nude option by far. August it's a little bit far from Argostoli the ferry boat takes half an hour to get to Lixouri , the last part of the road is quite bad for motorbikes but we have reached the top of the stairs.

Textiles place themselves on the first part of the beach. A few minutes walking we placed ourselves and stripped off with no problems. Two more couples of naturists arrived and placed themselves on the last part of the beach. Three more young couples arrived but I think they were textiles trying and obviously enjoying nudism for the first time only men stripped off; one girl topless. We spent a great day even if sea conditions were not so good and it was quite difficult to swim. Also on the peninsula is Petani beach on the west coast, about 20 minutes' drive from the ferry at Lixouri.

Look out for the sign to Petania in Greek. A very winding, steep road down to this beach which has a lovely setting with a backdrop of mountains. At the bottom of the road, turn right and park by the boats. A short walk North turn right takes you to a very quiet, pebbly beach with large boulders and rocks providing good privacy. Good for swimming and snorkelling. The beach was mainly a mix of fine stones and pebbles although my contributors were able to find a sandy area towards the rear of the beach for more comfortable lazing.

There were a few naturists situated at the southern end of this beach turn left on reaching the beach. We were sufficiently away from the sunbeds and textiles to feel comfortable here. The sea here was very clear and calm but fairly quickly shelving. Jelly shoes recommended. This report dates from June A report from July says this is a really lovely beach: much nicer than Myrtos, although in a similar setting.

Turn left on arriving at the beach, walk about yards past the sunloungers, and there are a reasonably large number of naturists with a few textiles scattered in between. Absolutely lovely! Barefooters who visited in did not find it as idyllic as earlier reporters; although very scenic the beach is stony with little sand. My reporters established themselves in a small stony cove at the northern end and went nude. Others found it too crowded to be nude in August Other Barefooters who visited Petani in June confirm that naturism is practised on the left side of the beach when facing the sea confirmed in June They say snorkelling brilliant, but they advise getting there early as textiles use this area too and first there decides the order of the day.

The beach has some shade most of the day due to the cliff behind. Take jelly shoes or similar as pebble beach. We went to Petani mid- July and at the extreme right there still is possibility to swim naked. We were the only couple doing so, but nobody even textile crowd coming to take pictures at the rocks minded. Beyond the left hand south west outcrop there is a small, very secluded cove See on Google maps. There are a couple of tavernas at the centre of this section.

As described above, if you walk to the left you can be far enough from the sunbeds for nudism to be possible. That said, no one was naked when we visited! In fact no one at all! That was probably for several reasons; at that end the sand gives way to increasingly larger, uncomfortable pebbles; during the afternoon it was in deep shade; more exposed to wind and waves on the day we visited.

Wooden slipways on which stand several small fishing boats and the second rocky outcrop separate the right hand north east section of Petani. The right hand north east section of beach is sand and pebbles with scattered large rocks providing some privacy. Nudity seemed to be well accepted there, particularly the further you go towards the end of the beach See on Google maps. The only thing that detracted from that part of the beach was the seaweed drifting in the water, which reduced clarity, and on the beach where it seemed to stick to everything!

After about 6 miles from Argostoli, the road forks left for Lixouri and right for Myrtos; follow the right fork and then turn left, following the sign for Aghia Kiriaki beach. The beach is a long strip of sand and shingle, divided into small and large coves, with a track running the length of the beach. Follow the road for about 1. Follow until about yards from the end, where there is a snack bar and a number of people. Here the beach was deserted, and there was plenty of room to park the car beside the track.

The beach appeared to be used mainly by the locals, but my contributors felt comfortable, although they were the only naturists. Pretty setting, but not a marvellous beach. September: The road to Aghia Kiriaki is paved to where it joins the seafront dirt track which is in reasonable condition and passable by car. We found the right hand end surprisingly busy for mid-September. Perhaps this was due to the snack bar and umbrellas at that end of the beach or maybe as it was a Sunday the locals go there en masse for a day out.

We headed back westwards where there were fewer people and so no problem being naked. The beach is mostly gritty sand which slopes gently into the sea so entering the water is easy. There was some seaweed on the beach though that may vary with seasonal weather conditions. The dirt track is busy and not screened from the beach which perhaps detracts from the beach's suitability for naturism. With more people arriving later in the afternoon via the dirt track we decided to move on to neighbouring Vouti Beach.

Close to Aghia Kiriaki beach. In the village Zola follow the sign to the small but nice Vouti Beach. In low season June it's a mostly quiet place where nude bathing is no problem - especially at the left side of the beach when facing the sea. It seems that in high season there is a beach bar at Vouti beach. September: The 0. In places it is narrow, steep and tightly winding but with care is passable in a normal car bearing in mind insurance may not cover damage caused on unpaved roads.

There is some parking at the taverna above the beach See on Google maps but finding a space might be difficult in high season. The taverna is good, reasonably priced and has superb views, particularly over the beach to the south east. A very picturesque location! The outcrop that the taverna sits on divides Vouti in two.

To the right, the south east part has umbrellas and although fairly quiet, seemed predominantly textile. To the left the smaller north east section See on Google maps was empty so on our first visit we chose there and had no problem being naked. The beach is pebbles and gritty sand. The pebbles get much larger beneath the waterline but it is still fairly easy to enter even without wet shoes. The water seemed markedly warmer than at the neighbouring Agia Kiriaki Beach where we had been earlier that day.

On our second visit to Vouti Beach we first went to Myrtos beach… Well you can't come to Kefalonia and not do so even if it is exclusively textile! It was rather breezy there and unsafe to swim red flag flying so middle afternoon we decided to move on to Vouti. This time we went to the furthest part to the right south east , beyond the umbrellas and the rocks.

At that end there is a secluded small area of beach See on Google maps which is small pebbles shelving fairly gently into the sea so it is easy to enter the water. This beach is far more sheltered than Myrtos so despite the breeze the waves were much smaller and we had no difficulty getting in for a swim.

Myrtos is one of the most famous, and frequently photographed, beaches in Greece. It is about three-quarters of the way north up the west side of Cephalonia. You turn off the road between Argostoli and Fiskardo at a well-marked junction and go downhill for about two to three kilometres using a tarred road with hairpin bends.

It drops quite steeply downhill, becomes a track and then debouches onto the shingle beach with parking areas at the rear of the beach either side of a snack bar. Featured on many a picture postcard, this scenic beach has a lovely setting of a mountain backdrop but is quite a drive from most holiday accommodation areas - the nearest about 10 kms away is Agia Efimia.

From the main western coast road, it is signposted as 4 kms. The road is good but take it steadily, as it is steep and winding. Turn right northwards when reaching the white shingle beach, to join other naturists at the end of the bay. When my contributors visited June there were 7 other naturist couples and it felt very comfortable. The beach is situated at the rear of a wide inlet backed by steeply sloping cliffs with piles of scree below them from which the almost white shingle comes. The beach shelves steeply so that large waves form. There have been people drowned here because of 8-feet-high waves crashing onto the shingle.

So flip flops or jelly shoes are a must. Parasols and sun loungers can be hired for around 3 euro per person. There are topless bathers elsewhere. I have been looking for this book forever and have been trying to locate it with no such luck. They end up in Scotland, at her birth father's. It doesn't sound perfect, but the kidnapped h helps heal the H's little sister who was raped by h's stepbrother or something. Part of a series, though. Hi, I have being trying to rememeber the name of a book.

The basic synopsis is that a florist is dropping off flowers at her brother and his new wife's house only to find her sister in law flirting with a man. The man wants revenge on the family because of something her father did so he decides to break up the marriage. The sister in law is young, bored, her husband is always away and she is feeling neglected. No doubt she would be easily seduced. To protect or brothers marriage she suggests the man use her for revenge instead.

He agrees and says they should get married. The woman is in a relationship with a man and breaks it off to marry the virtual stranger. They get married, with the women wearing jeans to her wedding. After the wedding the groom finds out that the father disaproves of the daughter and it is no big deal that he married her. They all in love etc etc with him building her a greenhouse and buying her a car I think there was a line in there, like "you're the typre of man who'd by his child a train set and then end up playing with it yourself.

I think there was something in there about her always wearing clothes with flowers on them. The sister in law gets jealous. There is a jealous scene where the groom thinks his new wife is getting lunch with an ex. There is a happy resolution. It is a contemporary novel written in the last years, it may have been a country setting, I think there was a mention of a cowboy hat. Hello I'm looking for a book that I read years ago. I'm pretty sure that it was written in the 80s or early 90s.

It's a Regency romance book. It's a bout a young redheaded girl who becomes the ward of an English Lord. I think he's of Spanish or Italian descent. He hates that he is attracted to her because he's older than her. He hates that she has beautiful red hair and makes her wear hats anytime she's outdoors.

She's very feisty and sometimes immature because of her age. I think someone tries to kidnap her. But he thinks that she ran away and when he finds her it's pouring down rain they make love and he doesn't realize, because of the rain and all her skirts, that she's bleeding to death because she's been cut on her leg. She gets pregnant, they get married, and she has a baby boy.

I can't remember why but she ends up leaving him and he doesn't know where she's at. When he finds her she's a governess, they get back together. She leaves him again this time for his best friend and she's pregnant. He finds out where she's at and kidnaps her. She ends up giving birth to their little girl on the ship.

And after that I really can't remember anything else. Thank you ;. I'm so glad I have found this site. I have found many books to add to my "to read" list. I have read a book some years back. This is what I remember about it. The hero is a cowboy -in texas, perhaps? The son had interfered with mail even then -I think it was the late s, but don't hold me to it- it was a crime and the boy roughly aged 8 has admitted to it. If I remember correctly, he said the that he liked the picture the heroine of the story sent; his father had no idea of it.

The heroine is a woman with a small boy. He is approximately the same age as the hero's son. The boys don't get along at first, but as the story unfolds they practicaly become inseparable. The hero's son admits near the end of the story that he was jealous of the other boy because the heroine's son had a mother who wanted to protect him. See, the story begins in front of store -feed store, maybe- and if I remembert it right, the woman was concerned about her son getting her.

The heroine is from Ireland and is on the run. The man, and later his family, accused her of kindapping to separate her from her son. And she saw the ad for a teacher as a chance for escape as far west as possible. The offer I think included the room and board. Anyway, the matter came before a judge and that is how our heroine came to live on the ranch and became a teacher to his son.

Thanks for you help! I am desperately trying to find a book I believe I read in the mid to late 90s not totally sure. It would most likely be Harlequin or Silhouette. It is about a man who is after the person who killed his wife and twin daughters in a car bombing. Then a few months later she discovered she is pregnant. She has three identical triplet boys and she tries to find the man she spend the night with but with no luck. Then she runs into to him like three or four years later. I think at this point the triplet boys are around three years old and he then protects her and his sons because the man she had been dating for the last six months is the one who initially killed his wife and twin daughters.

I think the triplets names were Ryan, Sean and unsure of the other one. If anyone one remembers this I would greatly appreciate it. I loved this book and would love to read it again. I scanned through the last post but not these ones yet. So if someone has already asked about this book just point me in the right direction please.

I mostly remember scenes ant he plot and I think it was a Harlequin. But it was about a guy, who used to be a surfer I think and now he works for or owns a magazine and is doing a photo shoot of the new swim line. Back when he was still surfing he met a girl had an amazing night with her but was so drunk he only remembers the tattoo on her back and not her face.

She owns a shop now that sells organic fiber? Very hippy. I remember the part where she, I think, bets him that her swimsuits are better and she can make the models look better in the shoot than he can. He makes her wear one of her own suits and realizes that she is the one he was looking for and when he asks why she never said anything she tells him that she already knows who he is. Please help me find this book. It's driving me nuts! I read this 4 or 5 years ago and think it was a fairly recent publication. It's historical European, maybe early s.

The hero is in London with friends. His wife is there. It was a marriage of convenience, and they had never lived together. She was struggling to hold the estate together. She nurses him and they fall in love. The villain ends up trapping them in the same mausoleum, but they escape and live HEA. Author or title? This is it. I have been looking for this book for so long. I greatly appreciate you taking the time to let me know.

Thank you so much. I read a novel a number of years ago maybe between - It likely is medieval England. He takes them with his men. The friend ultimately finds out she is pregnant. One of the hero's knights is married to her. Ultimately the hero and heiress end up together. This is much of the detail I can recall.

I would much appreciate the author and title if anyone out there can remember. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you! Hi I'm looking for a book I believe it was a harlequin presents don't remember the title I read it I think 10 years ago or more. The book was about a heiress whose father made a man marry her because she liked him but after they were married he left her alone for years she thinks she loves someone else but her husband showed her he was only after her money.

Sorry it's been awhile but I remember I really enjoyed this book I also believe the cover had a woman in a blue silk dress hopefully someone can help. Hi everyone I've also posted before and I'm getting kinda desperate. I can't remember why. I do remember something about a seduction in a chair on the way to London. Also it was definitely published before Yes that is the book thank you so much starlight genie it was driving me crazy trying to remember what it was called.

I believe that book has a chair scene but I don't remember the rest. Its a long shot but thought I'd mention it. I am new to this site and any help with a title or author would be much appreciated. I read a paperback novel a number of years ago maybe between - He takes her and the friend with his men. The friend ultimately finds out she is pregnant from the rape. One of the hero's knights marries her. Can someone please help me name this book its been driving me nuts for years! It is right after the Civil war in America.

The heroin is of raven hair and they make mention of it that its so midnight black. He plays and gambles away her horse to a rich handsome horse breeder. She runs away but eventually goes to him because he threatens to place her father in jail. She becomes ill and he nurses her back to health after which she agrees to become his mistress. He then takes her to France and she finds out she is going to have his child. She fears he wont want it after a misunderstanding and so runs away. He searches for her and finds her. She rejects him. He and her then finally reunite at his big house.

I read this many years ago. I want to say that there is a woman with black hair on a horse in the cover but i could be wrong. It may also have the word raven or midnight or dark angel in it.. Hi everyone, I would appreciate the help if anyone knows of a book that I've been searching for a few years now. What I remember is that she has been betrothed already. She's really good with her bow and arrow. When the hero meets her to marry her, she's being attacked at her house in the woods as he meets her. She believes she's in love with a friend she's known since childhood.

But she starts to be really attracted to her hero. She freaks out of how attracted she's becoming of him so she convinces her twin sister to say that she's feeling ill in her bedroom and she escapes in either a rug or trunk I vaguely remember and then goes on horse back to her childhood friends house. Without realizing that's she's being followed and she's the one who's been the target this whole time.

Sorry I wrote a super long post. Thanks Kate Hi, I've been looking for a particular historical romance for weeks now. I read it at least 6 or 7 years ago, maybe more. It is similar to 'Flowers from the Storm' by Laura Kinsale in that the Hero is struck down by something that makes everyone believe he has become an imbecile. I think he might be a Duke or an Earl? It is set in England maybe regency or just before. There is something about all the other family members dying or being killed by the French? I'd be most grateful if anyone knows what this book is.

I'm new to librarything and I'm really hoping someone will recognize a book from a very brief description because I can't remember more than the basics of the plot really. Years ago I read a romantic mystery about a cold, cruel twin who convinces her twin sister to take her place. The cold, cruel twin is in a very unhappy marriage and has a daughter who she doesn't seem to care about at all. The nice twin goes along with her plan for some reason and falls for the husband and the little girl. The husband at first is baffled by her new, kind behavior because he was used to her gold digging, heartless twin and unaware she had a twin.

Eventually he starts to fall for the new twin still thinking its his wife. Sorry, that's all I can remember. I know its not very specific. If you can think of any plots that fit, please let me know! That's it!!!!! I'm so happy I could cry! Thank you Anna :. Check out the old thread "name that book" Allright gals and? Something like temptation or scandal I think this is the most likely please please help. Posting again in the hopes that someone will end my torment!

I'm looking for a Harlequin, probably for the 80s or 90s. It's about two brothers and one woman. The brother the woman is married to dies. The other brother comes back into her life. Turns out the brother she was married to was gay. That's all I can remember. Hi, I am looking for a romance book I believe it may be from the 80's or 90's. It was about a tree sprite or nymph who awoke from a long sleep to a man coming to this very old house in the winter. They end up meeting and falling in love. I cannot remember the name of the book because it has been so long since I read it.

I think the title may have had the word rose in it, but I'm not positive. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!! Or possibly Fires of Winter by same author? I'm going crazy trying to find this book. I think its a harlequin superromance from the 90's. It's about a lady who is pregnant, there are two little kids involved and a surly rancher. It takes place in either montana, north dakota or colorado. The cover has a lady in a blue dress and she's pregnant.

Please help!!! I've read both of those books and they're not the one I'm looking for. Thank you, though. Please HELP! I don't remember the name or the author, but I remember that its about a woman who walks in on her husband and he's having a threesome with his secretary and another man. She feels horrible because he was horrible to her and made her feel horrible about herself I think he called her fat, etc.

I don't remember what happens after this but eventually she meets this like super hot rich entrepreneur guy, who's like in computer technology or something and she ends up living with him for a bit and they fall in love. I think it takes place like in Washington, I remember fog and water Thanks! Hello Everyone - hope someone can help me. Last year I read a book and did not put it into my Excel sheet - now it is driving me nuts: Taks plase in England - - or so. Lord X's father dies I think he killed himself Money is very tight so with the help of his mother Lord X opens a gaming hell he is very good with cards No one knowes he's a "Lord" He restores the family money.

He meets a woman, falls in love - but if they marry - he then needs to become Lord X and everyone will know he has two identies. This is in reply to post 66 cmboyd This sounds familiar to a Sandra Brown novel I read some time ago. However, in the book the heroine was not a twin but a look-alike and she took the evil look-alike's place after a plane crash. I don't know if this could be it The first I do believe is a Harlequin or Silhouette. The heroine arrives from the country to net a husband. She has her old nanny and a younger sister who is very beautiful, but has intellectual disabilities.

At some point, someone tries to kidnap her sister. The heroine eventually gets married to a reformed rake who is ashamed of his past. The second book is actually the first part of a trilogy. It was also an historical set in England. All I remember is that there were three sisters who somehow became separated and they belonged to a theatrical family.

The third is more recent and is the first of a trilogy of three sisters. Also an historical, the sisters are fashionistas and set up their shop in London. This story is about the oldest sister who has a daughter. There is a fire started by a rival that burns down their shop and they move into the love interests home.

If so, you might be interested in knowing that the third book in the series is due out this month. I loved it! I've been finding this book for years!!! But she went nevertheless, but ultimately she came up and went back to the shack where they made love. There was another scene where she felt someone staring at her from the woods. Please if someone know the book title help me out!! Thank you so much! I think my hero is an Earl. Again thanks - I'll get there yet. Everyone have a Great Thanksgiving! Thank you 82ktleyed! I've being going quite mad, especially as I'd like to read the sequels.

Gonna to ask again. I'm looking for three books now. Is the heroine goes to Dawson city then to the goldfields to locate her father Hero's name is Logan I believe. She ends up marrying him and they leave to go to his claim by dog sled. She still ends up sleeping with him and gets pregnant. She then ends up being employed by the hero's wife who is also pregnant, making her dresses. The wife discovers the other woman is pregnant and does not know its her husbands and shames the woman. The wife also ends up trying to kill her own child with a pillow but is stopped and I can't remember if they put her in a home or what but the hero ends up with the Heroine and finds out she has his baby as well.

This one takes place in Australia on a sheep ranch. He is supposed to be engaged to her sister. She offers to marry him in her sister's place. Also they're father wanted the sister to marry the man so he could pay off the family's debt. Hi I am looking for 3 novels. I think there may be more. They might be half brothers. There mom has remarried. One of the books there is an art gallery and the woman who runs it gets kidnapped by her brothers drug running friends. The other book one of the sons has a daughter. Help me please. Hi first I want to excuse myself.

I am looking for a novel. I just remember there was kind of a bet about a mansion going on between the hero and the heroine because of the heroes brother. I was kind of just looking through the book, I haven't really read it. Hi everyone. Just found out about this place, this looks great. English not my first language, so sorry for any mistakes.

I read some posts from the previous thread and I recognized a couple books that I'm also looking for I think Can't remember the author, much less the title or the characters names. The 1st was posted in ' It is set in England near the Thames. In the beginning the heroine is a highwayman dressed as a boy and is in charge of a group of orphaned boys.

She tries to rob a nobleman and he captures her and takes her to his home to be punished. When they go to spank her they figure out she is a she and he decides to keep her and train her to be a lady. In the end she ends up being or looking like someone important that they were looking for all along. Some other random things: I think she had her first "tub" bath and compared it to bathing in the Thames.

I believe she had long red hair. During regency time in London, somehow the heroine is passing as a servant boy in the hero house, I think that she tried to rob him, but the hero was sorry and gave her a job instead and then the hero some lord starts to have feelings for the 'boy', when he finds it's a girls instead, he makes her his mistress and in the end eventually they get married. I think that she also was someone important who was kidnapped and got amnesic. I'm starting to feel that I'm mixing 2 stories The 2nd was posted in ' I think he was drunk or something and she tries to rob him and his friend and he catches her and forces her to marry her.

Shes actually suppose to be an aristrocat who got kidnapped when she was young. I remember then the heros father teaching her how to be a lady and then launching her into society and shes all beautiful and witty and successful. The hero falls for her without realising shes his wife and i remember how she kept visiting the streets to feed some orphans or something and the hero meets her there again asking for a divorce or something along the lines Hi- new member - : I am looking for a futuristic romance from the 80's or 90's.

A female pilot or law enforcer of some type crashes on a prison planet. The decedents of the original prisoners are living there and have formed a somewhat barbarian like society swords, etc. She and the hero fall in love and eventually leave the planet. There is some political strife, as the decedents of the original prisoners were being kept on the planet even though they hadn't done anything. I can't really remember the details. The heroine had a vine tattoo that wrapped from her foot, around her leg, across her back, to "bloom" on her chest.

I think she had red hair. I kept thinking this book was by Elizabeth Lowell or someone mainstream but I can't find it anywhere. Anyone have a clue what book this is? Thanks for any thoughts!! The first book was Warrior's Woman. I know the female lands on the heros planet when her planet is invaded. The hero's planet is a barbarian planet where woman are second class citizens. He ends up going back with her to help her planet out. I don't think she had a tattoo but maybe its another book in the series?

Hi all. Im new to this and its all because im desperate to figure out this book. I do not have a lot of information but it starts in London. This woman who is living with her aunt and uncle is sent to live with the aunts brother. The aunts brother makes advances towards the woman. She tries to escape and the brother is killed in the fray. She runs from the house and is snatched up and taken to a ship captain because she is mistaken for a prostitute.

After that night she goes back home to her aunts and uncles she ends up being pregnant and they make the captain take her with him as he was leaving to America after they collected money from him. He thinks he was tricked and makes it hard for the woman. She becomes very ill on the ride to America. He lived on a plantation of sorts with a woman neighbor he was intimate with. The neighbor is very jealous of his wife they were married in a quick ceremony before they left london the thought of the murder of her aunts brother follows her and she believes she is at fault.

I think there was another character that was rhe brothers accomplice he was a creepy, slight kind of man. I hope someone can help me and I get the chance to help someone else! Thank you. I would never have found it. Even the brief description on amazon would not have jogged my memory. I had to try a sample just to be sure. Thank you wadcb3! You are amazing. Please help!! There were twins: a boy and a girl who lost their parents and were left in guardianship of a Duke. The boy ran away to sea to become a sailor and have a great adventure.

So, the girl dressed up, pretending to be a boy and went to meet their newly appointed guardian. The Duke, trying to "man up" his new feminine looking ward took him her to a bordello very comical and that was where he found out that he was actually a she!! He ended up marrying her and then had her twin brought back from the ship he was on. I think the girl's name was Alyssa and her twin was Nicky.

I'm new to posts like these so bare with me. I've been trying to find the name of this book for a long time now and it's driving me crazy.

Please help me. I don't remember much of the plot of the story or the names of the characters 'coz I read this book a while back. What I do remember though is that this book is kinda on the adult romance genre. The story starts where a beautiful virgin young woman daughter of a man of power - probably a politician gets raped by a fat, short and old diplomat not really sure if he's a diplomat but he scares the girl by saying she can't tell anyone 'coz he has immunity in that country.

After being raped she is kidnapped by the same diplomat but she gets saved by a man love interest 1 but then she gets caught again by the diplomat and after some time saved by another man love interest 2. She then gets abducted by tribal people and she was deemed to be "the one" deity or something maiden or sun goddess because of her beauty. Love interests 1 and 2 joins this ritual and 2 wins and they escape from the tribal people.

Going back to civilization she gets confronted by the two love interests to choose between them who she loves most. She chooses love interest 1 but near the end she realizes, she loves love interest 2 more so she leaves 1 for 2 and they live happily ever after. I forgot most of the scenes and it was a thick book so there were a lot of scenes I forgot I wanna read them again but I just can't remember details that will lead me to the book. I don't know if what I read was already an omnibus or just a very long novel. Any ideas?? New to this, but hopefully someone can help! I've tried searching for this book, but Google is failing me.

It's a regency romance novel. He takes her to his country home, and she gets along with his staff. Possibly something about her organizing his library. She gets pregnant, but hides it from him. He takes her back to London, and she continues to hide the pregnancy from him she's miserable in the carriage ride to town -- I think because she's trying to be the perfect ton wife. Her morning sickness gets so bad that she avoids callers; and then she's still so tired in the afternoon, that she cleverly avoids social calls and stays home to be well enough to go out for evening events tells Lady A that she'll be at Lady B's musical, tells Lady B she'll be elsewhere, etc.

When her husband realizes that he is in love with her, he tries to track her down in the afternoon, going from point A to B to C, etc. They both profess their love, he takes her back to the country, and everything ends well. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!! Hi guys I'm new here! I need help finding this book. I of course can't remember the name of the book or author or even character names but heres what I do remember: The woman moves in with the cowboy, I think she works at a theater, or maybe she's a mail order bride, but the cowboy pretends to be his twin brother throughout the story, who she eventually falls in love with.

I remember there was an Indian couple living in the back yard and she helps the woman give birth. Also, at the end of the book is when she finds out that the guy has been playing as his rough and tough twin brother. If theres any way you can help me it would be much appreciated!!! She ends up falling in love with 'Lucas Holt' who had a twin brother 'Slade Holt'. Slade was brought up by Indians and is the rougher of the two. Lucas pretends to be both Lucas and Slade throughout the book to lure an enemy out of hiding.

Hi all, I'm new to the group and the site. Hoping someone can help me with the title or author. It's historical fiction possibly regency. She literally stumbles over unknown man, drunk, and he proposes. After being chastised again at home she takes him up on his offer. Turns out he is nobility. Hero needs to marry and produce an heir to secure estate. Her father is getting remarried to a shrew. It seems like both threads are active now! I'm a noobie, but here goes Medieval setting, published in late 90's or early 's I think --Two or three related books--one has a heroine named Judith, she marries beneath her somewhat, to a fairly impoverished noble family.

How to Find That Book You've Spent Years Looking For

Her husband had mistresses he called by days of the week and she burned up their bed so he knew she wouldn't put up with it. The family's name had falcon in it, I think. Another related one same author, some shared characters was about the impoverished knight's little sister, named Zerah or something similar, who had always dressed as a boy and learned to fight like a knight. She is bested in a fight or something, and the other knight knows at once she is a woman though no one else, even her sister in law from the other book, don't know.

I hope someone knows these! This is so amazing, how some people know all of them! I had actually accidentally posted in another thread, and someone answered anyway, people are nice :. I need help finding the title of this book! Hopefully someone could help me - you all seem to have excellent memories. Its a fairly recent book I believe. But she has a big heart and is going to school to become a teacher.

Things come to head when the sister gets sick. The real story is that the bf tried to have sex with the h, fed up with the spoiled nature of the sister, believing that the kind and sweet nature of the h was more his speed, but she denied him. The bf goes off in a rage and promptly breaks up with the sister, spouting about how much better a person the h is than her, alluding that they had had sex. The sister runs to her brother, the H telling him how awful her friend, the h, is for sleeping with her bf.

He tells her off, yelling about how they took her in and were kind to her, all the while she was a cheating backstabber, etc. Realizing that she had just been kidding herself and would never be good enough for the H, she leaves for a teaching job in Texas? Things quickly fall apart between the H and his sister, especially as she realizes that the was probably wrong and took her anger out on the wrong person. The sister grows up and decides to become a nurse.

Meanwhile the h is teaching in Texas where she is stabbed accidentally by a street kid when she gets in the middle of a fight. The H and the sister fly to her aide and bring her back to the ranch against her will. During her recuperation thats when the h and the H make up. Hoping someone can help me out with this. I read a book as a teenager it might have been either a young adult or a general romance book about a girl who goes out west dressed as a boy.

Unfortunately, I don't remember many details from it -- I think it had a mostly white cover with drawn characters in brown tones. It was probably from the early s, although it could have been the late s as well. It might have been a series book Harlequin, or something similar. The girl is traveling with a group, and she of course likes one of the guys, who might have been the guide possibly on the Oregon Trail.

He only realizes she is a girl when he's helping her up some obstacle, like a hill, and his arm grazes her chest. I read the beginning at the library as a kid and never finished it, but it stuck with me, as you can see! Thanks for any leads. I'm struggling to find the name of this book.. This guy had an operation during which he tied his tubes ergo he can't have children. Then he enters a shop one day, a few years later and happens to look at her screensaver and find an image of a child that looks almost alike to him when he was a child I keep getting confused with storylines similar to this one.

Please Help!!!! Look for the name and author of a romance i read over 10 years ago and it was an older book then, i'm thinking Romance story that the woman of the book was a reporter and while trying to get an interview with someone she gets bitten by a dog. He has a baby left at his door. It's an old harlequin romance novel i believe 's in which the hero and heroine fall in love but unfortunately before anything can come out of it the hero's adopted father asks him to return home to marry his daughter who does not have long to live. Suffice it to say the hero's wife dies after two years and leaves him with a daughter.

The hero immediately hops on a plane to go back to the heroine however the plane crashes and the hero receives terrible burns and has to undergo plastic surgery. When the hero is finally reunited with the heroine who is an author or publisher she tells him she has a three year old son. The hero wants to be with her but doesn't know how to tell her about his situation.

The hero's father- in- law meets him and the heroine learns about everything and runs away telling the hero she wants nothing to do with him. The hero's daughter's name is Anna and I think the hero also had a mole on his back that was removed during his operation. Anyone having an idea or think the book I'm referring to then please let me know.

I'm looking for the title of a romance book where she goes on a trip with a girlfriend, there is a hurricane and then she is all of a sudden in medieval times. There are two more books to this series and I would love to read them all. I read this book years ago and cannot remember the name of it. I remember that the man was a lawyer who sided with the woman's husband and won the case, then they meet years later. The woman does not like corsets or lawyers.

The story takes place in the U. I only read it once and started thinking about it and would like to read it again, please help me. I read this in the 80s. It was part of a "Historical" series like Harlequin. Some of the "men" get together to see if someone can get her to say yes to a marriage proposal. There is a broke Scotish Laird in town who is trying to arrange money to help his clan. One night she is going back home from a dinner and her carriage is attacked and he protects her. She finds out about the bet and tries to leave him, but he says the bet was for him to ask he didn't have to break it.

So they get married. He takes over the finances for the two of them. Something happens on her estate but I can't remember what. At their first dinner party she has the bagpipes pipe the guests into dinner but it is not appreciated by the guests. She has scars on her back from where her father would use a whip on her. Eventually she is pregnant and they decide to move the entire clan to Canada because she wants the baby to be born in their new home. If someone knows of this book, I would be grateful for the title. Trying to find a western historical romance about a guy who falls in love with his best friend's sister.

I'm looking for this book I read about 10 years ago. It's about this female author who teaches a writing class in her free time. She's a bit stuck with this one book she's writing since her editor doesn't like the way she writes her sex-scenes. Therefore by chance she decides to take sex lessons from this cop in her writing class I know it was in-return-for-something or other but can't remember the particulars.

Read the book in dutch, and it's title was along the lines of "Lessons in love". Does anyone have a clue? Help would be appreciated :. I need help trying to find a book I read sometime between years ago. I think it might be a harlequin. A girl is delivering something to a wedding maybe a cake? She gets shot at while leaving. A cop happens to be there and lands on her while protecting her.

Of course there's chemistry, he ends up protecting her. That's about all I remember. I'm pretty sure though that in the first scene when he is covering she ends up with an orgasm. The h owns a book shop or house in, I think, London. He arrived late at night, having traveled from another town. He overcomes it and, voila, HEA.
